In April 2024, they embarked on what they hoped would be a memorable cycling vacation in Italy. However, their journey took a tragic and life-altering turn.

On November 20, 2023, Dru Satori and his family faced a devastating house fire that tested their strength and resilience. Around 3:00 a.m., they were abruptly awakened by the blaze and, within minutes, realized the severity of the situation. They discovered a fire at the back of their house and immediately called 911 while evacuating their children and pets.
